L. Procilius, 80 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.00 g, 6 h), Rome. Laureate head of Jupiter to right; to left, S•C. Rev. L•PROCILI / F Juno Sospita, wearing goat skin headdress, advancing right, hurling spear with her right hand and holding shield adorned with thunder­bolt with her left; to right, serpent coiled to right. Babelon (Procilia) 1. Crawford 379/1. RBW 1406. Sydenham 771. Beautifully toned. Minor marks on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
